Single Piece Slate News

As many of you’ve heard, we’re moving to Athens, GA at the end of October. What this means for SPS:

- Sadly, we won’t be living in Seattle any more.

- But we will be living in Athens, with an office right downtown available for drops in!

- We’re past the point of taking orders in Seattle available for local pickup/drop off.

- We’re a little bit crazy trying to move now, but we’re still taking orders. Our current turnaround is around 12 weeks. Hopefully this will drop once we’re settled in our new home, but we’ll need a few weeks off to pack, drive across the country and then get set up in our new home.

- We’re hoping to start doing some lathe tours around the east coast area in 2011. We’re not ready to work out details yet, but we’ll keep you posted!

- Both of us (John and Keenan) are working full time jobs right now, as well as running SPS and trying to move. Yes, it’s crazy. So, if it takes a few days, or even a week to return your e-mail, don’t worry. We haven’t forgotten you! We may just be deciding to use our few spare minutes to sleep. Or pack. So, please be patient with us as we enter the fall.

We’re bringing the lathe down to Athens Popfest and we’ll be stopping in a few midwest and east coast cities along the way to set up in record stores and make single records for people live!

If you want us to come to your town or know of a rad record store we should stop at, please drop us a line!

Currently, we have:
.5mm clear “floppies”
1.5mm clear 7″s (small hole and large hole)
1.5mm black 7″s (small hole and large hole)

What we will have available:
Check back soon for fun stuff like colored vinyl, square records, and shaped records!

Our current turnaround rates:
We can currently guarantee a turnaround of 3-4 weeks on an order of 50 7″s.
